Dear Cpatrick,
The University of BC did some research on chromium and found that 80% + of
all people tested were deficient. Since chromium is a helper for insulin in
getting sugar into the cell, this has great implications for diabetes.
Further research showed that vanadium, in the form of vanadyl sulfate, was a
helper for the chromium. In response to this research, a Canadian company
called Trophic has brought out a product called Chromium Plus Vanadium (what
a novel name !) that contains :
chromium (HVP chelate) = 200 mcg;
vanadium (vanadyl sulphate) = 75 mcg
vitamin C = 200 mg
niacinamide = 40 mg
niacin = 20 mg
vitamin B6 = 20 mg
They state that the chromium is manufactured through chelation by amino
acids, peptides and polypeptides in a unique patented process of theirs.
It is $9.98 CDN for 60 caplets. Cheap as borscht !
It is sold in most Canadian health food stores.
Best of Health!
