Subject: Rectal Insufflation for Radiation Colitis

Thank you for a very informative site.

I have radiation colitis, caused by radiation treatments in the 1980s. The condition started slowly but keeps worsening. According to what I read, it is not distinguishable from ulcerative colitis in that in manifests the same way with fistulas, diarrhea, etc.

I had read from Dr. Pittman that rectal insufflation has been used successfully to heal related conditions of ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease. I would like to know if there is any clinicians who have used rectal insufflation to heal radiation colitis. I understand that this is a much more rare type of disease, but as a layman, it would seem to make sense as a therapy. The orthodox doctors want to remove the colon and I wish to avoid this at all costs. I have tried other therapies such as aloe vera and glutamine, but have not had success. I would appreciate any feedback on this subject. It is very painful and disabling, with weight loss due to chronic diarrhea and malabsorption. Any positive feedback on this would be welcomed.

Also, I would like to know if there are any physicians or N.D.s who might have treated this condition with rectal insufflation. Many thanks to anyone who can help.

Steve

Dear Steve,

Regardless of original cause, rectal insufflation with ozone will heal the colon from colitis.

I am sure that there are doctors in Germany who have dealt with this, but I don't know of any in the US.

You can treat it yourself at home, and save your colon.
