Subject: Re: Ozone for HSV
Dear Dr. Saul,
I have not yet had an outbreak of Herpes. I merely
know that I have it because of some similar prodome
symptoms I'm experiencing and that my IgG Test came up
postive for both 1 & 2.
However, I spoke with another doctor who practices
ozone therapy yesterday and she said that there is no
need to worry unless your tests showed a postive IgM
result.
In the meantime she said the same, to take lots of
lysine and to keep my immune system up. But, do you
happen to know of any websites that can define the
difference between IgG and IgM. I'm very confused by
this. Thank you for your help and time!!
Megan
Dear Megan,
Ig means immunoglobulin, which means antibodies, produced in lymph
tissue.
There are five categories of antibodies:
IgA: most common; present in mucous membranes of GI tract,
respiratory tract, and in saliva and tears
IgD: present in serum; functions in allergic responses
IgE: present in the skin and mucous membranes; responds to
environmental antigens (foreign invaders); plays a role in skin
eruptions
IgG: widespread throughout the body; main antibody defense against
bacterial invasion and other antigens
IgM: found in blood; combats blood infections and triggers IgG
production
She gave you good advice. Take lysine, and do ozone.
Best of Health!
