Asthma is a multi-factorial problem. Some of it is due to bacteria and mold in the lungs. Ozone will quickly clear that up. Some of it is due to the liver being plugged with toxins; a referred problem. This can be addressed by a liver cleanse. Some of it is due to airborne irritants and triggerts, such as spores. This can be addressed with air cleaning equipment, whether HEPA filtration, ozonation, or both.
Finally, there is asthma which is due to other causes, possibly unknown.

Subject: Asthma Kit

Dr. Saul,

I am interested in ozone inhalation therapy to treat my asthma. What flow rate, concentration and treatment time do you recommend? Also, I'm interested in purchasing one of your asthma kits. I have searched your website (, however I was unable to locate ozone accessories. Can you tell me how I can purchase the kit?

Dear David,

Flow rate for inhalation should be 1/32 or 1/16 l/m. Concentration 30 - 60 ug/ml is ok. The level of oil in the container controls the strength of the ozone coming through, so it is easy to adjust.

Treatment is 5 - 30 minutes. Start at 5 minutes and then each day increase five minutes, so that at the end of a week, you are at 30 minutes. Then stay at that level.

It is not necessary to inhale deeply; just breathe normally. Continue for several weeks, and you will notice that you are having fewer asthma episodes, or maybe even none. Continue on after that for a few more weeks, and you should have it conquered.

Be aware that some asthma is food related, so you might want to take a look at your diet. Dairy and grains are the foods that are most often implicated.

The asthma kit is $35 + 5 for mailing. Email me at to order.

Subject: Healing reaction from breathing ozone bubbled through olive oil?

Dr. Pressman,

Have you ever seen an asthmatic go through a healing crisis from breathing ozone bubbled through olive oil? If so, how often?

I've experienced (what I consider) two bad healing reactions from non- ozone detoxing where my asthma flared up, one of them putting me in the emergency room. Obviously, I don't want this to happen again so I am beginning the ozone therapy for asthma very conservatively (10 min. total with 2 minute deep breath checks), but I tend to over do things, especially when I get excited they may help my health.

I guess what I am looking for is either an extra word of caution from you, or some assurance that I can move forward with a little more intensity to get over my asthma.

Thank you!
Micah Tanner

Dear Micah,

Yes, you can have serious detox from breathing ozone through olive oil. It is a very effective therapy for asthma.

The important thing is NOT to overdo it. You didn't get asthma overnight and you can not get rid of it overnight.

It is like emptying a barrel of water with a teaspoon...slow and steady wins the race.
