Hi

I have would like to thank you all for the wealth of information that is presented in this forum, I have enjoyed reading the postive effects ozone can have in the posts. I have learnt a lot! However, I am slightly unsure as what to do with my health problem and would appreciate your input.

I was diagnosed with cervical dysplasia (CIN 11)in March of this year, unfortunately I have tested positive for the HPV virus which is presumably causing the change in cells, as I am a low risk in all the other indicators. I have 13 different strains of the HPV. Naturally my doctor wanted to operate, due to the fact that I am positive for the more aggressive cancer causing strains, however I decided to try other methods first. I have been treating this with chinese herbal medicine, and vitamin therapy (I was doing this prior to the diagnosis).

I then discovered an ex doctor who practices colonic irrigation and Ozone therapy. I have so far had 3 ozone treatments (and 4 colonic irrigation treatments), by vaginal insufflation of 5 minutes per session. I started the treatment at the end of April.

My doctor (ozone) believes that I could go for my next pap smear test now and it should prove negative for HPV and perhaps show a reduction in the level of dysplasia.

I am naturally slightly apprehensive as I have only had 3 treatments and would rather wait and have more sessions to make sure the viruses have disappeared and the damaged cells are repairing themselves.

I also understand that a pap smear is not an accurate diagnostic tool and therefore it may not show the exact extent of the problem, but will merely indicate that there is a problem.

How many sessions per week should I be having, I have asked how much ozone I receive per application and have been told it is a mixture of ozone and oxygen (medical ozone) and I receive a litre. Although that does not explain the strength! How long do you think I should have the treatment before having my next pap smear? Should I be incorporating other ozone treatments eg water and olive oil? Would it help to use the olive oil internally?

Thank you
Jocelyn

Dear Jocelyn,

In ozone therapy, there is a principle that often goes overlooked. That is the time factor. Since a doctor has little time, he wants to do the quickest treatment possible. This is not necessarily what is best for the patient.

Concentration x Time = CT factor
The higher the number, the more oxidative work done.

Therefore, one liter delivered over 30 minutes is SIX TIMES as effective as the exact same amount and concetration of ozone delivered in 5 minutes.

You are right to feel that you are not getting your money's worth.

I would recommend daily vaginal insufflation at 1/32 liters/minute for 30 minutes at a concentration of 30 - 50 ug/ml, for six weeks. That is sufficient to reverse cervical dysplasia, and then you will test normal, having eliminated all abnormal cells, as well as any virus in the area.

(You are correct to distrust the old Pap smear test, as it is notoriously inaccurate. It is known that the testing process itself can cause false positives.)

Best of Health!
