What To Look For When Buying an Ozone Generator?

Dear alltogethernow,

I am regularly contacted by people who have had unsatisfactory experiences with buying and using medical ozone generators.

Sometimes the generator manufacturer goes out of business after a few years, leaving them without service or parts.

Often they can not get information on modern protocols from the person they bought their equipment from. They have had to search me out to get the information they need on how to use their equipment, and what to do at certain times. This after-sales support should be critical to your decision.

I have made up a checklist for prospective buyers so that they can choose their equipment and their manufacturer wisely.

Questions to Ask Before Buying A Medical Ozone Generator

1) Is it straight forward to use without confusing controls?
2) Does the generator come with a calibration chart?
3) Does the generator use only glass parts in the tube?
4) Does the generator operate from oxygen feed gas only?
5) Does the silicone tubing used inside the generator have thick walls?
6) Does the silicone output tubing have thick walls so that it will last?
7) Are a tank and regulator included in the price?
8) Are accessories supplied for all protocols?
9) Is it clear what you need to order to do each protocol?
10) Are there full instructions on all protocols included?
11) If the generator is to be used for the sauna, does it
put out enough ozone at higher flow rates? (30 ug/ml @ ½ l/m) 12) Is the manufacturer prepared to stand behind his product for more than just a few years?
13) Is shipping extra?
14) Is the total price stated clearly without hidden extra costs?
15) Has the manufacturer been in business more than a few years?
16) Does the manufacturer have the knowledge to advise you regarding medical protocols, or does he just know equipment?
17) Does he manufacture the equipment or is he just a reseller without a commitment to long term service?
