Dear Lash,

Yes, peroxide is cheap, especially if you buy it in 13 gallon drums.

The recommendation for 8 oz of 35% is for the standard 40 gallon tub.

Dear Hal,

You can use the drug store variety H2O2 if you need to. You use so little, I doubt it could hurt you.

To make 3% from 35%, put one ounce of 35% in a glass bottle. Add 11 ounces of distilled water. Voila! 3%.

You can certainly use the drug store variety in your tub if you can't get the 35%. Use 88 ounces of drugstore H2O2 to equal 8 ounces of 35%.

Best of Health!
